Chris Martin is a labor economist who focuses on issues of identity-based exclusion in the workplace. His original research has explored pay and opportunity gaps, the impact of salary history disclosure on job offers, and the link between employee engagement and compensation. Prior to joining Syndio, Chris was the resident statistician on the Inclusion & Diversity team at Starbucks. He is passionate about using data to identify and resolve workplace inequities and, as a former instructor in statistics and economics at various Seattle-based universities, about communicating statistics in an accessible way.

Carol Grant is a marketing leader with more than 20 years experience, with most of that time spent in big tech. As Syndio’s Vice President of Marketing, she oversees all aspects of the Syndio brand. Before that, she held a variety of leadership roles at Microsoft and Zillow Group and is bringing this experience to the start-up tech world. Her marketing career has run the gamut, from marketing at one of the biggest retail chains in the country to marketing tech solutions and experiences like Microsoft Office, Windows and the Zestimate.
