Pay is your largest capital commitment and the only one without governance. Download the latest Syndio Research report to see what that’s costing you.
Compensation is 50 to 70% of operating costs for most organizations. Yet the decisions behind it, like where an offer lands in the range or how a merit increase is set, are made without a record of why and without anyone checking whether they worked. Salary bands govern the envelope, not the decision inside it.
Nearly a third of new hires are paid about 8% more than comparably qualified colleagues in the same role. That gap doesn’t stay at the offer letter. Every merit increase builds on it, and correcting it later costs up to 1% of total payroll each year.
Get the report to see why the merit cycle can’t fix it and how to build governance into the moment each decision is made.
