Senator Monique Limón is the lead author of CA SB 1162, which requires employers with 15 or more employees to include a pay scale for a position in any job posting, for both internal and external job postings, and requires more extensive pay reporting and record retention.
Senator Limón was elected to the Senate in November 2020 after serving four years in the State Assembly, where she chaired the Banking and Finance Committee and was Vice-Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus. She now chairs the Senate Banking and Financial Institutions committee and serves on several others. Senator Limón was recently honored as the only legislator on the Forbes Future of Work 50 list.

Senator Jessica Ramos is the lead sponsor of NY bill S9427A, which requires employers to disclose compensation or range of compensation to applicants and employees and requires additional recordkeeping.
Senator Ramos is the chair of the Senate Labor Committee and a member of the Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business committees, among others. She has spent her life fighting for working families, advocating for labor, and organizing her local community. Born in Elmhurst to an undocumented seamstress and a printing pressman, she was raised in Astoria, attended Queens public schools, and now lives in Jackson Heights with her two sons.
