Tony Wu is the Program Manager for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), and Social Impact at sweetgreen, responsible for bringing to life sweetgreen’s mission of building healthier communities by connecting people to real food—laying the foundation through philanthropic partnerships, building an internal community with employee resource groups, and growing community engagement to deepen a sense of belonging.
Tony started at sweetgreen as a team member in 2017. Having grown from within, Tony strives to represent the broad diversity of sweetgreen’s team members by supporting an equitable work environment where all employees have equal opportunity to thrive at sweetgreen. Tony is an alumnus of the altMBA and holds a BA in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.

Chris Martin is a labor economist who focuses on issues of identity-based exclusion in the workplace. His original research has explored pay and opportunity gaps, the impact of salary history disclosure on job offers, and the link between employee engagement and compensation. Prior to joining Syndio, Chris was the resident statistician on the Inclusion & Diversity team at Starbucks. He is passionate about using data to identify and resolve workplace inequities and, as a former instructor in statistics and economics at various Seattle-based universities, about communicating statistics in an accessible way.
