Chris is a labor economist who focuses on issues of identity-based exclusion in the workplace. His original research has explored pay and opportunity gaps, the impact of salary history disclosure on job offers, and the link between employee engagement and compensation. Prior to joining Syndio, Chris was the resident statistician on the Inclusion & Diversity team at Starbucks. He is passionate about using data to identify and resolve workplace inequities and, as a former instructor in statistics and economics at various Seattle area universities, about communicating statistics in an accessible way.
