1) Transparency is a priority

Transparency is a core design principle.

Every Syndi recommendation comes with context you can see, share, and scrutinize. We show the inputs, constraints, and relevant policies that drive recommendations, so humans can validate, challenge, or improve outcomes. 

Alongside technical detail, Syndi provides plain-language rationale to ensure easy understanding for all levels. Plus, companies have the ability to audit the decisions and history in a comprehensive way that’s easy to interpret. Every recommendation shows the logic, data inputs, and comparison groups, ensuring the rationale is auditable for internal reviews, pay governance reporting, and regulatory inquiries. 

2) Human-in-the-loop by design

Syndi never makes autonomous employment decisions. It assists people rather than replaces them. Users keep full control, with clear rationales and the ability to accept, adjust, or ignore any recommendation.

While Syndi uses internal AI components (“AI agents”) to parse data, apply policies, and generate suggestions, it does not act without human oversight. Recruiters and compensation teams can accept, adjust, or ignore any suggestion at any time. This human-in-the-loop approach provides recommendations that are always transparent and explainable. 

Syndi continuously learns from user feedback, ensuring decisions evolve with organizational context. Roles and approvals are embedded to keep accountability where it belongs: with people.

3) Rigorous privacy is Syndi’s default

Privacy is the foundation of trust. We built Syndi to adhere to the most rigorous end-to-end privacy standards, aligning with GDPR and the EU AI Act.

Your data stays yours.  You retain ownership of the data you upload; recommendations generated for your organization are your proprietary outputs. Syndi never uses sensitive or identifiable data to train models across organizations.  Model tuning is performed exclusively on your company’s data, completely isolated from other customers.

Our approach follows GDPR principles and the EU AI Act, including documented risk assessments, human oversight, clear audit trails, strict bias mitigation protocols, and tenant-specific, de-identified data for all model training and recommendations. We thoroughly test our systems for bias, accuracy, and reliability through a combination of automated safeguards, human review, and ongoing monitoring.

4) Velocity with governance

Syndi is installed in your workflow tools by users and governed by your access controls. Users are not auto-enrolled and have the choice to use Syndi.
