We’ve all experienced it — technology around us evolves and gets better at a rapid pace. One day a technology can’t do something and the next day it does. This rapid evolution can sometimes result in misunderstandings about what technology, like Syndio’s pay transparency platform, is capable of delivering. That’s why we created this blog — to separate fact from fiction about what Syndio’s solutions can help you achieve.
Does Syndio offer robust integrations?
Syndio integrates with a wide range of third-party systems, including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); engagement, performance, and payroll systems; and data lakes.
We announced our first integration with Workday® in 2020 to ingest data on demand over a secure connection from a custom report in any Workday tenant. Since then, we’ve added an employee data API endpoint that imports employee data from any HRIS or third-party system that supports CSV export. We also support single sign-on (SSO) for added convenience. Our platform allows you to upload supplemental files, filter data by various parameters, configure integration update schedules, and include unlimited fields for context.
And this is just the beginning — we will continue to add integrations in the future.
Does Syndio offer intersectional analysis and intersectional budgeting?
Absolutely! Our solution allows you to analyze pay equity and opportunity gaps across multiple dimensions, including race, gender, ethnicity, age, disability, and more. This provides a comprehensive understanding of how different groups are affected by your policies and practices.
Syndio has long provided budgets to allow customers to close gender, race, and intersectional pay gaps. In 2023, Syndio introduced even more advanced, industry-leading intersectional budgeting technology. This enables you to calculate compensation changes to resolve pay and opportunity equity issues, then correct pay for gender, race, and intersectional issues. You can set budgeting “rules” like minimum or maximum budgets or excluding employees on performance improvement plans. Within seconds, the Syndio platform calculates an efficient budget that accounts for all employees up for remediation.
Does Syndio offer breadth and depth of knowledge required for complex customer needs?
We are proud to be the recognized leader in pay transparency technology, supported in large part by our team of industry-leading experts. We analyze the pay of more than 10 million employees, annually —no other technology, consultancy, or law firm even comes close to the scope of employees that Syndio analyzes.
Our experts bring extensive experience to both our technology and customer conversations, and represent an array of industry verticals and disciplines, including HR, total rewards, labor economics, legal, communications, and more. Our expert-backed technology combined with our experts and top-rated customer support has helped hundreds of companies create more equitable workplaces. We are confident we can help you achieve your goals.
Does Syndio offer more than one methodology?
Absolutely! We know that each customer has unique goals and needs, including regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, brand recognition for fair pay, and the list goes on. That’s why the methodologies we use are tailored to match each customer’s goals, and why the Syndio platform is designed to be transparent in its calculations and allow for customization of the analysis. Customers can define comparison groups, pay policies, and compensation measures to ensure the analysis aligns with specific pay practices.
Syndio’s methodologies are also legally defensible and adhere to legal standards and best practices. In fact, the team reverse engineered lawsuit elements during the solution design.
Does Syndio offer solutions beyond pay equity and pay transparency compliance?
