Canada’s Federal Pay Equity Act requires a pay equity plan for federally regulated employers with 10+ employees. Employers have to establish a pay equity plan (report) within three years of becoming subject to the Act (for many employers this was by September 3, 2024). Plans need to be updated every five years.
