Mexico Gender Pay Gap Reporting: What You Need to Know

LAST MODIFIED: January 10, 2025

Mexico pay gap reporting

Mexico does not currently require employers to report their gender pay gap. However, the government promotes voluntary compliance with the Mexican Standard on Labour Equality and Non-Discrimination, offering certification for adherence. While not mandatory, this standard encourages equal opportunities, non-discrimination, and the prevention of workplace violence. Also note that companies operating in Mexico with employees in the European Union will need to comply with the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
