Massachusetts pay gap reporting

On July 31, 2024, Massachusetts adopted a pay transparency law, the Act for Salary Range Transparency, that was widely billed as pay transparency and pay gap reporting law. While the law does require more pay transparency, at least for now, no gender pay gap reporting is required in Massachusetts. But employers should be aware that this could change with future federal or state-level legislative developments.
